Maine might still officially be dealing with winter, but we all know that warmer weather must be coming. While we still probably have a few more weeks of cold weather and (let’s face it) another snowstorm or two, we’re looking for all the signs of spring. One of the most tell-tale signs is when this event takes place each year!
When you think of Thompson's Point in Portland you might imagine summertime concerts and trips to the restaurants and bars nearby. But, this year won't wait until the summer to enjoy it! Head to the Maine Flower Show in March to get your spring started.
The Maine Flower Show has taken place at Thompson's Point in Portland since 2017 and the event continues to grow each year. Today it is one of the largest gardening and horticultural shows in New England.
There are around 120-125 booths showing off various plants and flowers. Plus you'll find things like garden supplies to help you plan your garden this year.
The four-day event begins with "Premier Night" on Wednesday, March 25th from 6:30 to 9 p.m. This is when awards are presented, so you'll want to be there!
Thursday through Sunday the event begins at 10 a.m. and runs until the evening. That means there's lots of time to take in all the sights, sounds and smells of this beautiful show!
The Maine Flower Show takes place from March 25th through March 29th at Thompson’s Point. One day general admission is $20. Tickets for the March 25th premiere night are $50 and folks 65+ can purchase tickets for $15. You can learn more about the event here, including the full schedule and ticket booking information.
