People spend time in Maine for a lot of reasons, but one that we hear about frequently is access to the great outdoors. Whether it’s a fun day trip or a weekend-long excursion there’s an adventure for just about everyone. As you make your way through a bucket list of options, be sure to remember the more unique ones! This campsite definitely falls into that category!
Make your way just 30 minutes from Portland and you'll find Braun's Riverside Lavender farm. This privately owned and operated farm is run by Mark and Tammy Braun in Steep Falls.
They have a goal of becoming the largest organic lavender grower in southern Maine and it looks like they're definitely on their way! They're also a large supplier of lavender-based products.
The best way to appreciate that time of day is by taking advantage of their riverside camping site, which is guaranteed to be one of the most special spots you've laid your head.
The site has a canvas tent equipped with a queen bunk bed. It's got everything you need for a great stay including sheets, pillows, and the perfect surroundings.
As part of your stay, you'll even have access to kayaks, a canoe, and a paddleboard. This is a great spot to plan a few nights away!
Riverside Lavender Farm‘s campsite can be booked directly on tentrr.com. One night is about $135, but be sure to check the site for availability and any price changes. You can learn more about the farm and visiting for the day by checking out their website. Or, you can follow them on Facebook. During the season, the farm can be reached at 207-332-6502.
