We have some tremendous train rides in Maine but have you ever wanted to ride on a railroad track but not be confined to the train car? As specific as that desire might sound, someone actually thought it up and created rail cycling! This fun activity looks exactly like it sounds you and a friend can hop on a rail bike that sits on the rails of the train tracks. You then peddle your way down the tracks for a good workout and enjoy the great outdoors for a little while. It is now a way for you to get out on the railroad tracks without the train and enjoy the scenic ride.

The B&ML Railcyclers have created a very unique and interesting way to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors. Have you ever been rail cycling before? What did you think? Let us know in the comments. Make sure to visit B&ML Railcycles to book your ticket and get out on the tracks.

A few things you should know before you go, for your safety you have to wear close-toed shoes, you must be over 10 years old to ride, you should wear pants, and riders have to be under 250 pounds to use the bike. Fit those requirements and you are good to go on a fun ride through the Maine countryside on the railroad tracks.
