There are tons of scenic places to enjoy in Maine. From mountain peaks to coastal scenes, we can’t think of a better place to be if you love looking around and feeling grateful for exactly where you are. But, we’re not too ashamed to admit that a lot of time that view is the meal in front of us! Vacationland is full of great places to dine, but this spot includes both delicious plates and totally unique views!
There's a good chance that you won't find a more unique place to enjoy great food than at the Pilots Cove Cafe in Sanford.
Pilots Cove Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food feels like so much more than what you might expect at a "cafe." The menu is large and each dish is well-prepared and huge. Check out this perfect French toast!
And, because it's in Maine, you can expect at least a few dishes that include lobster. Including this comforting house-made mac and cheese that offers the perfect taste for some added lobster.
The lunch menu has a ton of burgers and sandwiches to choose from. Plus there are lots of appetizers including things like wings, quesadillas and nachos.
We recommend trying out all three meals since the experience on the runway will be different each time. We love how fun things look at night out here on the patio.
While we recommend visiting any time, this is always a fun place to take visitors and those who love aviation. There's simply no way to get closer to airplanes without buying a ticket.
Pilots Cove Cafe is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. They’re closed on Monday and Tuesday. You can learn more about the cafe by visiting their website. And, be sure to follow them on Facebook. They can be reached on 207-850-1183.
