Michelle's life is a colorful map of exploration and adventure. From the iconic streets of New York to the sunny shores of Florida, the jagged coast of Maine to the rugged terrain of Montana, she's been fortunate to call some of America's most beautiful states home. Beyond the U.S., Michelle's wanderlust has taken her on a motorcycle journey through India, led her to teach English in Hanoi, and saw her studying Spanish in Guatemala. Michelle graduated with a communications degree from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and in addition to a career in advertising has worked with OnlyInYourState since 2016, where her love for travel and storytelling converges. Alongside writing and exploring, Michelle finds joy in photography, staying active, and time with her family.

Being in the present moment is all the rage these days. We get it. Mindfulness and being present can make each day a little bit more meaningful. But, we’re here to give you permission to spend at least some time living in the past. Especially when it comes to drive-in restaurants. This little spot reminds us of simpler times, when heading out for a burger and shake was all we needed to keep things entertaining on a Friday night.
Ken’s Place is located at 207 Pine Point Rd., Scarborough, Maine. They’re open Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Check them out on Facebook or give them a call on 207-883-6611.
For another great way to relive the glory days of the past head to this drive-in restaurant in Winthrop. It’s great fun and you can’t beat the food!
