My name is Chris Dodge and I live right here in the great state of Tennessee. My family and I are full adventurers filled with passion to see the amazing things our state has to offer. We are avid hikers and have explored many different places in Tennessee and beyond but we are always thankful to be living in such a glorious state.
With such a historic past, Maine is the perfect setting for a classic Christmas experience. The quintessential small towns all throughout the state, the fresh blanket of snow everywhere, and the charming historic places just make Maine such a wonderful place to celebrate the season. So join an Old-Fashioned Christmas in Bath this year.
The historic town of Bath really knows how to celebrate Christmas.
Their annual Old-Fashioned Christmas event starts right after Thanksgiving and will last for a whole month! This incredible event starts with a visit from Santa. The big guy himself will join in for the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree while guests can enjoy cookies and caroling from the Nor’eastern Barbershop Chorus.
If you want to spread Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear, then hop on the caroling trolly. The trolly will be first come first serve and will not require a ticket this year.
Throughout the month-long celebration, there will be plenty of music to fill you with holiday cheer. The music will be the soundtrack for some classic Christmas shopping. Visit the many different unique shops that call Bath home and find the perfect gift you won't find anywhere else.
There is a contest held every year for the best decorations so you may find some of the most decked-out halls in Bath. Homes are not the only thing getting a full Christmas makeover, costumed characters will be meandering around town like Olaf, Elf, and many more. So be sure to look around for these classic and lovable characters.
It isn't truly Maine until you hear the revving of a four-wheeler, so make sure to witness the Santa ATV parade through the town. For Mainers, he has ditched his sleigh to fit in with the locals.
Have your children write letters to the North Pole and drop them in the red magic letter boxes. These boxes will be placed by The Loyal Biscuit and the Bath Printing Company on either side of Front Street.
Old-Fashioned Christmas in Bath, Maine, will certainly be a celebration you will want to be a part of. See the ATV parade, join in for some caroling, shop at local stores, or simply visit to see the decorated houses.
