There are so many fantastic places in Maine to enjoy some peace and quiet that choosing just one can be hard. That’s why we recommend exploring as many outdoor areas as you can when you have the time. As you make your way around the state to get lost on the coast and in the forest, be sure to add this spot in the midcoast to your travels. It’s absolutely gorgeous and offers plenty of tranquility.
The Josephine Newman Audubon Sanctuary is open year-round from dawn to dusk. You can learn more about exploring the five trails by visiting Maine Trail Finder and alltrails.com. You can also check out their website for more information on the history of the sanctuary. Following them on Facebook is a great way to stay current on what’s happening there. They can be reached at 207-781-2330.
