Get Lost In Glendarragh Farm, A Beautiful 26-Acre Lavender Farm In Maine
It doesn’t matter what season we’re in, Mainers love coming up with ideas for activities to do in winter, spring, summer, and fall. That means our bucket lists are always full of things to enjoy outside. Of course, we’ve got our favorite hikes, beaches, and festivals but we’re also trying to explore more farms and outdoor local businesses this year. Near the top of the list? This farm!
The Glendarragh Lavender Farm has two locations. The farm is in Appleton and their year-round store is in Camden. The store and farm are open at varying times so it’s best to check the Glendarragh Farm website to plan your visit. And be sure to check out the official Glendarrah Lavender Facebook. You can reach the farm on 207-236-8151.
Camden is a beautiful place to visit. If you can, try to plan your time at the farm for autumn when you can explore the rest of the town when it looks exactly like a Hallmark movie.

Does Maine have any natural wonders?
Maine has quite a few natural wonders that are worth seeing. Here are a few you'll want to check out first:
- Thunder Hole, Acadia National Park: Visit at just the right time and you'll hear a thunderous sound when the waves hit the shore forcing air from the caves below.
- Jasper Beach, Machiasport: Rather than miles of sand, this beach is full of beautiful pebbles that seemingly "sing" when the water rolls up and over them.
- Giant's Stairs Trail, Bailey Island: This trail is less than a half mile and gets its name from the shape of the rocks caused by erosion along the shore.
- Piazza Rock, near Saddleback Mountain: Sitting precariously on the ground along the Appalachian Trail, this rock was brought by glaciers from miles away.
Maine is home to some beautiful natural wonders and they're all fairly easy to find if you know what you're looking for. To make it a bit easier, consider checking out the natural wonders road trip through the state.
