There's No Better Place To See Fall Colors Than Right Here In Maine

One of the best parts about living in this region of the country is that once fall comes, our state begins turning into a vibrant and eye-catching masterpiece that’s incredible to experience. From one-of-a-kind fall foliage train rides that will steal your breath away to beautiful country roads that are perfect for a scenic drive where you can view all of our changing colors, there’s plenty to do this season that will keep you busy. Just recently, travel site Condé Nast Traveler included Maine on their list of the best places to view America’s fall foliage. Any guesses as to where in our state they suggested visitors take a trip to? Let’s find out!

To make things simpler for readers, Condé Nast Traveler broke down their article by dividing things up between the East and the West. They also took things one step further and broke down each region by naming off which areas have the longest foliage season, where the best views are, which area has the most variety, where has the most intense colors and which region is the least crowded.

That's right! Our short but sweet fall foliage won the title of being the underrated gem of the East Coast. The travel site went on to explain that while we may have a shorter foliage season than some of our other surrounding states, if you can make the trip out here it'll be more than worth it. Another bonus? You won't find crazy expensive leaf-peeping rates here when it comes to a place to stay during this season.
