Editor’s Note: Step Falls is incredibly busy between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. from June to September, and the parking lot closes to additional cars once it is full. Parking is not permitted along Route 26, so please plan ahead and have an alternate activity planned if the parking lot is full.

The Step Falls Preserve hiking trail is an accessible 1.1-mile out-and-back trail in Newry, Maine. Good for all skill levels, the hike showcases many beautiful views and culminates in a waterfall.
