When it comes to fries, no one does it better than Duckfat in Portland, Maine. This humble little eatery opened its doors in 2005 and has been a hit ever since.
Locally owned and operated by Nancy Pugh and Rob Evans, this neighborhood restaurant has won several awards since they opened and quickly won over the hearts (and stomachs) of both locals and tourists alike.
Their Belgian fries are topped with locally sourced cheese curds and then smothered with duck gravy and chives. Add an egg to yours for an extra special treat!
And some pretty spectacular milkshakes. Go ahead and splurge on these bad boys. Made with local gelato from Gelato Fiasco, these milkshakes come in a variety of flavors and they’re the perfect accompaniment to your fries.
