Thoughts of camping are sure to conjure up great memories of amazing family outings. Being in the great outdoors with the fresh smell of pine trees and smoldering campfires is always time well spent. So whether your memories are of a favorite cabin to revisit or you spent your time in a tent, camping has changed in some interesting ways. Unique accommodations are on the rise. As you could imagine this is an excellent place to end every night. Watching the flames dance and the wood pop as you share the experience with your loved ones.

Climbing the stairs you will notice a decent sized deck with a full grill, a table, and an outside sectional for lounging.
One of the best things about camping is the time you spend outside. They created this space to make good use of the tree coverage and the wonderful enjoyment that can be had while being outside.
A small kitchen will provide you with a coffee maker, a microwave, and a sink. Leave your mess kit at home because they will provide you with plates, cups, and silverware. You will also have your own private bathroom with a shower so you don't have to use the bathhouse if you don’t want to.
The owners of this campground make the experience by inviting you into their camping family.
You truly will feel like you belong in their group because their hospitality is second to none. They have gone above and beyond in service making this campground a favorite for many returning guests.
The Bucksport/ Fort Knox KOA is less than an hour's drive away from Acadia as well.
We recommend booking a few nights at the treehouse so you can spend some time in Acadia as well. We suggest you hike around Jordan Pond or eat some seafood in Bar Harbor. If you decide to leave the campground then close by is the Penobscot River and Fort Knox. Fort Knox is a great place to explore with your kids and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge And Observatory is the largest observation bridge in the world.
This isn’t just a treehouse in Maine, this is a campground with exceptional service and a great place to visit. Stay for the people, and the campfires, but also make sure to visit the many natural wonders just down the road.
