There’s no better place to be hungry than in Maine! For a state tucked up in the northern part of the country, we certainly have some stellar food options. But we’re not just talking about the restaurants getting national news coverage. We’re fans of the places that are hiding out in the areas of Maine that might be less frequented by tourists. We’re talking about places like the Rib Truck!
Few things are more satisfying than feeling hungry and knowing that you're about to chow down on some seriously delicious and filling BBQ!
And if you happen to be in Presque Isle, Madawaska, Caribou, or Fort Kent at just the right time on just the right day you might experience this very real (and very specific!) feeling.
You see, that's where John and Mary Freeman bring their famous local rib truck that also includes a full smoker. On the days they're open you're likely to find them between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Although these hours aren't exact. If they run out of food before then they'll be gone just as fast as you can say "half rack!"
In fact, much of the menu is probably the best deal in town. And it's huge. They offer the things you might expect, such as pulled pork and those ribs we told you about.
The Rib truck is a one-stop BBQ shop you'll want to track and follow. And when other trucks shut down for the season, they keep the party going through the fall and even into the winter.
The Rib Truck is open…whenever they have food! You’ll find them in Presque Isle, Madawaska, Caribou, or Fort Kent on any given day. The only real way to keep track is by having a friend tell you they saw ’em or by following them on Facebook where they announce their location.
