There are certain things that are synonymous with Maine. The rocky coast, the many lakes, the lighthouses, and the lobster are just a few of the things that come to mind when people think about the state. Perhaps the most thought-about spot in the state is Acadia National Park. The region’s only national park is also one of the most gorgeous places in the state. While it’s accessible to all, visiting by car or foot isn’t always the easiest. That’s why we love the idea of this trolley.
Acadia National Park offers one of the most beautiful natural experiences in the state and seeing it is almost a must when in Maine.
Visitors can enjoy either a 2.5-hour tour or a 4-hour tour. Both options offer a great way to see the park, each with different stops and either more or less time to explore.
The 2.5-hour tour is great for people who'd like to see some of the highlights. It includes stops at the Cadillac Mountain Summit, Thunder Hole and Jordan Pond. Each stop is about 15 minutes, which allows for photos at some of the most beautiful spots in the state.
The 4-hour tour offers those same stops as well as the Sieur de Monts Spring Area. Stops on this tour are about 30 minutes which means visitors can get those photos and enjoy some time walking around and exploring.
Oli's Trolley tours also offer great guidance with information about the history of the park. And those who are curious about the area will appreciate passing the many gorgeous homes on the way from Bar Harbor into the park.
This is one of our favorite ways to appreciate one of Maine's most gorgeous natural spots.
The Oli’s Trolley Acadia National Park tour operates from July through October. The four-hour tour departs daily at 9:30 a.m. and costs $73 for adults and $58 for children 11 and under. You can learn more about the tour and other ones offered by checking out their website, which also allows you to check availability. You can also follow them on Facebook. They can be reached on 207-288-9899.
