Happy 4th of July, Mainers! Today’s the perfect day for picnics, BBQs, lake visits, beach romps and general celebration. Between all the hot dogs, potato salad and burgers, remember that tonight is one of the most festive nights of the year. All throughout the country, fireworks will light up the night sky and we couldn’t be more excited. While we think any fireworks display is great, those here in Vacationland offer something special. These 2018 4th of July fireworks in Maine are sure to be spectacular!
Start your day in Bar Harbor at 10 am with the Independence Day Parade. The parade starts on Main Street in downtown Bar Harbor heading to Ledgelawn Ave. At 11am, don't miss the Seafood Festival at Bar Harbor Athletic Field. At 7:30 pm hear the Bar Harbor Town Band on Bar Harbor Village Green before watching the fireworks explode over Frenchman Bay at 9:15 pm.

This celebration will keep you busy all day. Start by fueling up at the pancake breakfast starting at 7 am and the Eastport Municipal Airport. At 10 am take in the Rubber Ducky Race on the Fish Pier. Then, watch the parade at 2 pm. Fireworks take place over the water at dusk.
Celebrate Bath Heritage Days with the annual Fourth of July celebration. Food and other local vendors will be at Waterfront Park beginning at 10am. The live entertainment starts at the same place at 11am. At noon catch Smokey’s Greatest Show and Carnival. Head to Library Park by 8pm to hear the Bath Municipal Band performance, followed immediately by 9pm fireworks over the Kennebec River.
For those looking for a full day of fun, including food and games, this is the destination for you. Check out the parade starting at Industrial Park in Greenville at 11am. At noon, take in the third annual Cardboard Boat Race at Red Cross Beach in Greenville. Don't miss the Lucky Duck Race at 4pm at Moose River River in Rockwood. Then, head to the Rockwood Boat Parade at 7pm. The boats line up at Kineo Dock at 6:45 pm. The main event are the fireworks shows at 9pm. See them from The Birches in Rockwood or downtown Greenville.

The annual Stars and Stripes Spectacular takes place again this year on the Eastern Prom. Bring a blanket and chairs to set up early for a space. Then enjoy the food trucks and games located along the street. The fireworks will go off at 9:20 pm. The Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad will offer shuttle rides from Ocean Gateway to Cutter Avenue on the Eastern Prom every half hour from 4:30-7 pm.

Celebrate the fourth this year in Camden all day in free musical performances from 12pm to 9pm at Camden Library Amphitheatre and Harbor Park. Get a good spot by showing up early! Make sure you stick around for the fireworks display over Camden Harbor after dark.

Keep it simple all day long with Minninocket's homey, casual celebration this year. The "Red, White and Blue" parade begins at 10:30am in Veteran’s Memorial Park where you'll also find games for kids. At 3pm stick around for local foods vendors before the 4pm 195th Maine Army National Guard Band concert. Fireworks over Stearns High School parking lot begin at 9pm.
Make a day of it in Freeport today! Start with the L.L. Bean Fourth of July 10K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run and Walk at Memorial Park beginning at 7:25 am. Stay for the parade at 10 am and then watch the fireworks light up the sky over L.L. Bean at 9:15 pm.
Enjoy some classic marching band songs by the Bangor Band at the Bangor/Brewer parade at 11am. The parade starts at Wilson Street in Brewer and heads to Exchange Street. They perform again at Pickering Square at 7pm, where you can set up for the night with blankets and chairs. Fireworks go off over the Penobscot River at 9:30pm.

Beginning at 5:30 pm there will be hayrides, vendors, a bounce house and the farmers market. Then, head to Mill Park for live music at 6 pm. The fireworks can be seen at 9:15 pm from Mill Park. Or, catch the Winthrop 'works at dusk!
