  • Houston Brook Falls: Found in Katahdin Iron Works State Park, these falls are reached by a short, easy hike and feature multiple tiers of cascades surrounded by trees.
  • Moxie Falls: Located in Somerset County, Moxie Falls is one of Maine's highest waterfalls, cascading over rugged rocks into a beautiful gorge. The trail leading to the falls offers a moderately easy hike through lush forests.
  • Screw Auger Falls: Found in Grafton Notch State Park, this series of waterfalls and chutes on the Bear River is a breathtaking sight. Visitors can explore the gorge as well as enjoy the scenic beauty of the photo-worthy falls themselves.
