Living in Maine means ocean breezes and sky high mountains. It also means some of the coldest temperatures in New England and rainy summers. But, we take the bad with the good because despite everything living in Vacationland is pretty darn great. 4. Waiting for enough snow to warrant a snow day and never getting it.

No matter how much snow falls, you're probably going to work. Mainers are hearty and that means being able to drive through just about any weather.

These sounds lovely, but the reality is that all your secrets are spilled at these things. Showed up late for school? Mom knows now. Got in trouble with your friends? Not a secret any more.
6. Trying to get anywhere in the spring.
