Growing up in Maine is something special. From close family ties to friends that have lasted the test of time – there’s just something that ties us all close to Maine. Even if you’re one of the unlucky few that have had to leave. We recently found ourselves thinking about growing up in Maine and realized that the 80s play a special role in that childhood. Here are just a few things that might make you nostalgia for life in Maine in the 80s as well as just life in the 80s in general. Life was pretty hilarious!
This Emmy-worthy game show ran on Maine Public Broadcasting and featured Lou McNally as host. If you watched this, you'll remember that each question was related to Maine - from the obvious to those only answerable by real Mainers.
Nope, never happened. If only we had iPhones with bluetooth speakers back then.

This awesome carnival-type event at Deering Oaks actually caused damage to the grass and trees, so it was moved to the Maine Mall parking lot. Bummer.

Did anyone else have awesome birthday parties here? I have visions of kids just running around and pure bliss. There was one in the Maine Mall and in Bangor.
