It’s Maine’s birthday and boy-oh-boy is it a big one! We’re used to celebrating 21st birthdays and other big milestones but there’s no denying that 200 years-old is pretty darn impressive! While we definitely recommend eating cake and enjoying a celebration, we also thought this might be a good time to remind everyone why Maine is worth celebrating. Here are just a few reasons!
The Palace Diner has been around since 1927 and after a renovation a few years ago it's good as new! This popular spot serves one of the best breakfasts in the state, but we also can't get enough of their fried chicken sandwich. Read all about the diner and this epic sandwich by clicking here!
Students might not agree that this is a reason to celebrate, but you can't deny that this is pretty impressive! The Forest Hills Consolidated School in Jackman allows kids to arrive by snowmobile and school buses tend not to travel very far to get their students, which has helped with this impressive record.
