We are getting closer to the cooler weather that fall brings, and when the weather drops, it’s the perfect time to get outside and explore this beautiful state of ours. This particular trail makes for a delightful fall hike you’re sure to love.
Clocking in at around 31 miles, the trail is located just southwest of Alexandria in the Evangeline Unit of the Calcasieu Ranger District of the Kisatchie National Forest.
Feel free to park your car at one of the endpoints and explore as far as you’d like. For an epic adventure, bring a tent and hike the entire length - you can sleep on the trail.
