The White Lake Wetlands Conservation Area is an area with over 53,000 acres of marsh and 18,000 acres in the south-central Louisiana area.

Previously controlled by the oil industry, the land was given to the state in 2002. Its primary purpose now is to provide a good habitat for waterfowl and migrating birds.
Almost 75% of White Lake Wetlands is freshwater marsh.

There are numerous types of grasses and vegetation within the marsh area.
On the north side of the area is a two-mile birding and nature trail that is open year-round from sunrise to sunset.

The area includes a covered pavilion with tables, two kiosks with information on the trail and species, and an observation tower. Access to this trail is allowed with no payments or permits required, although pets are not allowed.
