Even though Denham Springs is located in the shadows of Baton Rouge, it’s home to fewer than 10,000 residents, putting it smack dab in the small town category. Next time you’ve got a free afternoon, head over to the antique village, a lovely little walkable strip of local shops and restaurants where you can shop till you drop while supporting local businesses. This antique village in Louisiana boasts over 25 different businesses, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to explore them all!
The Denham Springs Antique Village stretches from E. Railroad Avenue to Centerville Street and features dozens of local shops to explore.
There's plenty of parking along the street, and you can easily walk through the entire village in less than an hour. Of course, you'll want to stop in many of the shops, so go ahead and give yourself the full afternoon to explore.
As you may have guessed by the name, the Antique Village boasts several antique shops.
Cavalier House Books is a charming independent bookstore with a wonderful selection of books, including an entire room for children's books.
For a full listing of all the shops along the Antique Village, visit the website. Also, the village often hosts unique events that bring the entire community out, so give them a follow on Facebook so you can stay up to date on when the next event is scheduled.
