Watersports are a popular pastime in Louisiana, but it comes with a lot of obstacles. First, you need to have a boat (or at least know someone who does). Then comes the equipment, and that can be quite the investment. However, if you’re looking to try something new with ease, we know just the place. Whether you’re interested in the sport or just looking to expand your horizons, there’s one epic water cable park in Louisiana where you can test your skills in a controlled environment.
Cajun X Cables is one of the most unique outdoor attractions in Louisiana.
Located in Lafayette, this locally owned water cable park features a 20-acre man-made lake that's been specifically built for water sports like wakeboarding and kneeboarding.
Normally, wakeboarders are pulled from a boat, but here, you'll be pulled from a mechanical tower.
The Sesitec 6 tower system will pull you in a designed pattern around the lake. Once you let go of the rope (or fall), you'll just swim to the shore and head back in line. You don't have to worry about boats or wildlife getting in your way... and we all know that feeling when you're in the water and something touches your leg.

Trained professionals will take you through the whole process, from renting the gear to taking your first jump off the dock.
You just need to be at least 10 years old. If you're an experienced rider, this is a great opportunity to build your skills in a controlled environment. If you're brand new, this is a great place to start!
You may even find the confidence to catch some air!
They also have monthly and season passes available, which are a great option to keep in mind if you think you'll return more than once or twice.
Be sure to check the Cajun X Cables website for group rates and season passes. Don’t forget to give them a follow on Facebook so you can stay up to date on any delays or weather closures. If you’ve ever visited Cajun X Cables, let us know in the comments!
