People are great, but sometimes you just want to be by yourself. We get it. Luckily, there’s one simply stunning spot in central Louisiana that’s so hidden, you might just have it all to yourself. Gas up the car, because today we’re exploring the beautiful Valentine Lake, one of the most delightful hidden gems in Louisiana.
Nestled deep within the Kisatchie National Forest, Valentine Lake is one of those hidden treasures that once you find, you’ll never want to leave.
The 46-acre lake is the perfect secluded and peaceful setting to spend the day. It's not a widely popular lake so there's a good chance you might just have it all to yourself.
It’s about 3 miles long and you’ll be surrounded by beautiful hardwoods and towering pines along the way, with the occasional glimpse of the lake through the trees.
