It’s a bit off the beaten path, but worth your while. This Gearing-class destroyer was in use from 1945-1982 and is one of the most decorated US Navy Ships since WWII. Known as the "Cajun Riviera," this coastal area is perfect for spending a day with your toes in the sand. Soak up the sun as you search for seashells, and you can set up camp right on the beach!
