When the craving strikes for a beastly burger cooked to perfection and a healthy handful of fries, there’s one place you need to check out, and that’s the Twisted Root Burger in Louisiana. They have a burger menu that’s one of the most unique in the state, and they’re constantly inventing new burgers. Let’s check it out.

Originally opened in Dallas back in 2006, the restaurant quickly expanded to multiple locations scattered around the country, and Shreveport was its second location.
The folks at the Twisted Root Burger Company have created some of the craziest, most unique burgers you’ll ever taste.
All of the burgers start with a half-pound of freshly ground Texas chuck meat, but you can kick any burger up a notch by upgrading to free-range Texas wagyu or Texas buffalo meat.
Pictured above is one of their previously featured specialty burgers, the Cool Ranch, which is topped with Swiss cheese and Nacho Cheese Doritos and then a generous drizzle of their house-made peppercorn ranch. Yum!
