The tiny house movement has gained momentum over the past few years, and it’s only getting more and more popular with those looking to downsize and live life a little simpler. These houses are less than 1,000 square feet, but what their owners have done with them is inspirational. If you want to see some truly creative designs, there’s a unique festival in St. Tammany Parish this weekend and you’re not going to want to miss it.
The Louisiana Tiny House Festival takes over Heritage Park in Slidell on December 7-9th, 2018.
The festival will be filled with workshops, lectures, live music and, of course, tiny houses! If you've ever been interested in this type of lifestyle, then you need to head over to Slidell to this festival.
There are several different types of tiny houses, and you’ll learn all about them here.
Pictured above is the popular "skoolies," which are built into converted school buses. Like a ramped up RV, you can just pack up and drive all across the country, seeing the sights and checking off everything on your bucket list as you go.
On Saturday and Sunday, admission is $20 per person. You can purchase your tickets online here.
Heritage Park is located at 1701 Bayou Ln., Slidell, LA 70460.
Will you be attending this one-of-a-kind festival? Even if you don’t have (or don’t plan to have) a tiny house, you’ll find tons of awesome ideas that can easily be incorporated into any home design!
