While the days of drive-ins may be a mere memory for most, there are still a few peppered throughout the state where you can pull up and dine from the comfort of your own car. This particular drive-in is slightly off the beaten path, but worth the extra effort to discover. Let’s take a closer look at this timeless treasure:
Tucked away in the southeastern part of the state, D&D Drive-In is one of the best-kept secrets in Louisiana.
This little Larose joint has been churning out some of the best, most delicious fast food since 1964. While there is some limited seating indoors, most people take their food to-go.
Those who grew up in Lafourche Parish may remember it as R&R, H&R, or Double D. While it’s known as D&D Drive-In today, whatever name you remember it by is sure to bring up memories of the amazing food and casual atmosphere.
From hot dogs to sweet potato tots, there's truly not a bad item on the menu. You'll find yourself coming back again and again to try everything is has to offer.
You can find D&D Drive-In at 12410 W Main St., Larose, LA 70373. It’s open every day except Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, follow along on D&D’s Facebook page here.
