Louisiana isn’t short of beautiful hiking trails that will show you some truly stunning scenery. From bayou boardwalks to treetop vista overlooks, we’ve got some of the most incredible hiking trails that are just waiting to be explored, including this one. Tucked away in central Louisiana lies one of the most unique hiking trails in Louisiana, and it should go on everyone’s bucket list. Let’s check it out:

First things first: the Driskill Mountain Trail is on private property.

The owners have graciously allowed others to use the trail, but please respect the area, packing out what you pack in so that others may continue to enjoy the trail for years to come.
The out-and-back trail clocks in around one mile, so even though you’ll be ascending to Louisiana’s tallest natural summit, it won’t take you all afternoon.

You will encounter some fairly decent elevation along your hike, a nice chance of scenery in comparison to many of the trails in the state.

You'll have a pretty good view of Jordan Mountain, Louisiana's second tallest natural summit. Mount Driskill's little brother comes in at 434 feet and it's the only place in the state that you can be standing on one mountain and be looking at another!
