The 40-acre botanical gardens are perfectly landscaped, complete with water features and informational signage along the way, so you can identify what you’re looking at. This scenic nature park in Shreveport has five miles of trails to explore, weaving you all through the 160-acre pine-hickory oak forest. There’s a white-tail deer pen within the park that’s easy to find along the trails and there’s also a raptor aviary, home to many owls, hawks, and similar birds of prey. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium always has a touring show coming through that you can snag some tickets to. Get ready to take a walk on the wild side! Gators & Friends is an alligator park, exotic animal zoo, and adventure park all rolled into one. This 7-part zip line will have you soaring over the entire park, including the live alligator pond. Yep, that’s right--the final 750 feet of the line, you’ll be directly over the alligator pond.
