No other state throws a festival like Louisiana does. We love festivals so much that we throw over 400 festivals a year, all over the state. Whether we’re celebrating strawberries or the Rougarou, we’ll throw a festival for just about anything. The Alligator Festival in Louisiana is one of the most beloved festivals in the Pelican State, and it’ll be here before you know it!
The Alligator Festival is back for its 43rd year, and you’re not going to want to miss it.
Clear your schedule for September 22-25, 2022. You’ll want the entire weekend free so you can come back every day.
The festival is run by the Rotary Club of St. Charles Parish, and since its humble beginnings in 1980, it has grown into one of the most beloved festivals in Louisiana.
Start your festival experience by browsing the art market. Here, you'll find dozens of local vendors selling everything from artwork to homemade candles, and everything in between. The holidays are coming up, and it's a great opportunity to grab some gifts for your loved ones while supporting small businesses!

Don't forget to bring a blanket or some chairs so you can snag a good spot for the many musical acts you'll see grace the stage.
And the Alligator Festival surely doesn't disappoint in this category. Local restaurants and vendors will be out selling that good old fashion Cajun and Creole food you love so much. Alligator sausage po'boy, anyone?
Thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies will have a blast on the rides. There are also rides for the youngest of festers, too, so everyone can enjoy this family-friendly festival.
For more information, visit the festival’s website, and don’t forget to give them a follow on Facebook so you don’t miss out on any special announcements as we move closer to the festival. Are you planning on attending this year? Let us know in the comments below!
