Louisiana has some amazing places to call home—and not all of them are too expensive! To make this list, we did research through the website Area Vibes. Area Vibes looks at places all around the country and ranks them according to a rubric of metrics to determine what the most “livable” places in the state are. To determine livability, Area Vibes looks at rankings of access to amenities, cost of living, crime rates, education, and employment.
To make this list, we looked at the places that ranked the highest in livability on the Area Vibes ranking and then found the places that had the highest, A+ or A rankings for cost of living. Voila, you have a measurement of the cheapest yet most livable places in Louisiana! Check out what we found below!
(NOTE: The city’s overall “livability” ranking out of Louisiana’s Top 100 is included next to the name)
