The weather is warming up, which means we are coming up on festival season! Louisiana has so many festivals that you’re guaranteed to be a short drive from at least a dozen of them, no matter where in Louisiana you live. Here are 5 fantastic street fairs that will show you the best of Louisiana.

The Slidell Historical Antique Association hosts the street fair twice a year, once in the fall and again in the spring. The two-day event spanning multiple streets is held from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and features more than 200 booths of antiques, collectables and arts & crafts. There’s also great food available and live music on three stages. It takes place on First, Second, and Erlanger Streets in Olde Town Slidell.

Come out and celebrate one of Louisiana’s biggest exports while you enjoy some live music and delicious food on March 16-18 in downtown Amite.

Head on over to St. Bernard Parish for some good old-fashioned family fun. The festival began in 1975 and continues to grow every year. Visitors can enjoy dozens and dozens of crawfish dishes, live music, carnival rides, arts & crafts and much more. You'll find it at 8245 W Judge Perez Dr., Chalmette, LA 70043.

Located on the Louisiana boardwalk in Bossier City, this event features more than 100 vendors. You’ll see everything from clothes to unique foods and arts & crafts here, so swing by on March 24th from 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and check them out.

The Strawberry Festival has been delighting Louisianians since 1972, and it only gets better every year. Come celebrate Louisiana’s state fruit while you enjoy live music, strawberry eating contests, sack races, carnival rides and more! Louisiana’s largest free festival kicks off April 13th and runs until the 15th, and it’s located on the corner of North 6th Street and West Beech Street in Ponchatoula.
