Where can I find spring flowers near me in Louisiana?
Spring in Louisiana is a fragrant and beautiful time of the year with daffodils and tulips popping out of the ground like delicate angels blessing us with their elegance. If you are looking for a fun place to enjoy spring flowers near you in Louisiana we think you'll love these three places as much as we do:
Bloom Festival, Shreveport, LA: If you happen to be near Shreveport toward the end of March, make sure you make plans to stop by its Bloom Festival. The 40-acre grounds of the R.W. Norton Art Gallery will be a beautiful sanctuary of more than 15,000 plants, trees, and flowers. During the spring bloom, the garden is an incredible place to take a stroll with family or friends to enjoy some nice spring weather in Louisiana.
New Orleans Botanical Garden, New Orleans, LA: With over 2,000 varieties of plants in a 10-acre garden setting this is another of our favorite spots in Louisiana to enjoy flowers of all kinds. With several themed gardens like the Aromatic Garden and the Japanese Garden, you can enjoy flowering plants from all around the world. Be sure to take a stroll on the butterfly walk to see the most delicate butterflies fluttering from azaleas to poppies with a spring in their step. Another of our must-see recommendations is to find the Chinese Fringe Trees, these trees bloom with beautiful white flowers from March to April.
Northlake Nature Center, Mandeville, LA: Just down the road from Fontainebleau State Park you'll find this hidden gem. There are several nature trails in this 400-acre preserve so you can spend a morning enjoying a wildflower walk in the spring. Not only will you spot some pretty wildflowers along your walk, but Bayou Castine and Savanna Lake are each a diverse ecosystem of wildlife, and plant life, as well as a birdwatchers paradise.
Louisiana has a lot of natural areas to explore, so if you enjoy a nice spring hike like we do, you'll love some of the same hiking trails in Louisiana as we do. Be sure to grab some maps from AllTrails+ to guide you on your way to find a few gorgeous new flower fields near you.
