Boating and canoeing are popular pastimes here. Anglers will want to bring their rods and reels because the lake is home to largemouth bass, crappie, and bluegill.

There’s also an eight-mile canoe trail that you can take to experience the park from an entirely new perspective. You can either bring your own kayak/canoe or rent a canoe from the park.
As if that wasn't enough, the Louisiana State Arboretum is located within the park, and this natural oasis boasts even more natural landscape to enjoy.
