This town in Washington Parish is near the border of Louisiana and Mississippi. The town was founded in 1908 as a place for workers at the Great Southern Lumber Company and was called the Magic City because of how quickly it was constructed.
The parish seat of Jefferson Davis Parish is known as the "Cradle of Louisiana Oil". The General Merchandise Museum, pictured here, is still a popular attraction to the area.
Tallulah has a number of gorgeous and amazing attributes, including Brushy Bayou, pictured here, as well as the distinction of being the first U.S. city to have an indoor shopping mall, called Bloom's Arcade and built in 1925.
