New Orleans’ City Park is a magical, 1,300-acre outdoor oasis that’s just chock full of activities. You could spend an entire weekend exploring the botanical gardens, doing a little fishing, cycling around, or even just taking a casual stroll underneath the canopies of ancient oak trees that fill the park. One of the most interesting attractions within City Park is a fascinating little space where your childhood fairytales come to life, and no matter what age you are, you’ll feel like you’ve drifted off into the pages of a fairytale. Let’s check it out:
Storyland is one of those places you just have to see to believe.
Built in the 1950s, this whimsical park has been a time-honored tradition for many kids growing up in the Greater New Orleans Area. Additions and renovations have occurred over the years, but you still get that nostalgic feeling, no matter what's changed.
If you've ever wanted to see your childhood fairytales come to life, this is the place.
Heck, even adults will get wrapped up in the whimsy of it all!
