There are sandwiches, and then there are po’boys. Anywhere else, you’d call them grinders, hoagies, subs, but down here in Louisiana, they’ll always be known as po’boys; however, at Olde Tyme Grocery, they’re known as “poor boys,” which is what we will refer to them as in this article. No matter what you call them, once you sink your teeth into one of Olde Tyme Grocery’s famous poor boys, you’ll be a customer for life.
For locals in the Lafayette area, Olde Tyme Grocery is hands down the best spot for a poor boy in Louisiana.
...they're always creating new specialty sandwiches that you'll want to try. Pictured above is a country-fried chicken with sausage gravy po’boy... a southern staple turned into a sandwich!
Of course, you'll always find the traditional poor boys on the menu.
Keep it classic with a traditional flavor or indulge in a stuffed snowball or go nuts with a delectable drizzle with condensed milk!
Check out the Olde Tyme Grocery website for more information and don’t forget to give them a follow on Facebook so you never miss out on any of their specialty poor boys. What’s your favorite poor boy or snowball flavor? Shout it out in the comments below!
