There’s nothing better than a good old fashioned plate of comfort food, and we know where you can find it. The Rivershack Tavern has been serving up some of the most delicious Cajun and comfort food for over three decades, and it’s certainly a restaurant you’ll want to add to your restaurant bucket list this year. Let’s check it out.
Nestled along Historic River Road, The Rivershack Tavern is one of those hidden gems that only locals know about.
The building dates all the way back to the early 1900s when it was Towes Bar & Grocery, which operated in that space until 1952. Since then, several different bars have come and gone, but the Rivershack Tavern is here to stay.
