In the sleepy little town of Washington, just north of Opelousas, lies a historic hidden gem that you need to visit.

The Washington Old Schoolhouse was built in 1938 and, as its name implies, was once a schoolhouse. Today, it has been converted into a unique antique mall.
Pop into the adorable ‘50s-themed cafe for a burger and a milkshake to refuel before heading back out for more shopping.
