During the warmer months, it’s important to find ways to stay cool. Water parks are a great option when you’re looking to spend some time outdoors; they’re family-friendly, great for all ages, and you’re always guaranteed to share a few laughs with loved ones during the day. This old-school water park has been around for decades, and it’s time to pay it a visit.
Blue Bayou Water Park has been a favorite pastime for many since it opened its doors in 1999.
Conveniently located off of I-10 in Baton Rouge, the site features 80 acres of thrilling rides, lazy rivers, and children’s attractions that the whole family will love.
The park is split between Blue Bayou, the water park, and Dixie Landin, the amusement park.
Pirate’s Cove has several mini-slides, fountains, and kiddie pools for the little ones to splash around in.
Blue Bayou Water Park has already kicked off the 2019 season and is open daily from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. For more information, visit the Blue Bayou website here.
