In some ways this list was hard to write because people in New Orleans just love to let each other live and let live—meaning there aren’t very strict rules about what’s normal and what’s weird. Just about anything can be In New Orleans, a lot of things that are considered weird are actually quite normal. We just like to do things our own way, there’s no doubt about that. Here are some extremely weird things only people from New Orleans do.
1. Put on a sweater and pants when it hits 75 degrees.
2. Dance in the street—or on the sidewalk—or on people’s porches.
3. No burying those that have passed in the ground.
4. Run around wearing red dresses--whether you are a woman or not.
5. Talk about what you are going to eat next---before you finish eating the meal in front of you.
