French fries might just be the most under appreciated food around. Sure, they’re great as a side to a juicy burger or po’boy, but they can just as easily be the star of the show. This tiny shop in New Orleans is taking French fries to new levels, and you’re absolutely going to love it. Let’s check it out.
You’ll find Fry and Pie tucked away in the courtyard of the Hi-Ho Lounge in the St. Rich area of New Orleans.
These creative concoctions are a thing of beauty. Their freshly cut fries are piled high with all your favorite toppings like house made chili, cheese, onions, sour cream, etc.
In addition to their standard menu, they’re always rotating in new menu items. Pictured below is their High Steaks Fries: frilled flank steak, caramelized onions, brown butter mushrooms and English bleu cheese on top of a bed of crispy freshly cut fries. Yum!
Be sure to save room for dessert, because their individual pan pies are an absolute must. Whether you prefer chocolate or fruity, there’s a personalized pie with your name on it.
