There are some things that New Orleanians just need to have. Some of these things may make living here a lot easier, some may just be things that make New Orleans what it is. All of them are things New Orleanians just can’t live without. How many of the following can you totally relate to?
For better or worse, we can pretty much get by year round with a good pair of flip flops, minus maybe a handful of random days during winter when you swap them out for a pair of boots.

New Orleanians will throw a festival for just about anything, and now that we are in prime festival season, get ready to have your weekends booked until Mardi Gras.
Egrets, pelicans, blue herons, and alligators are so prevalent you may overlook them, but they’re certainly special to our city.
Jambalaya, red beans and rice, gumbo, beignets, the list could go on and on. Our cuisine is unique and delicious and we just couldn’t live without it.
