It’s the perfect time of year to be outside soaking up all that glorious sunshine, and we’ve got the perfect trail for you. Just across the lake lies over 30 miles of paved trails to explore, taking you on an adventure through several towns in St. Tammany Parish. Lace up those sneakers, because today we’re exploring the Tammany Trace and all its glory. Let’s check it out.
Weaving throughout the Northshore, the Tammany Trace is Louisiana’s only rails-to-trails nature trail.
Each town had its own trailhead and several restaurants and local shops peppered along the way, so you can start and stop your adventure at any one of the trailheads.
There's even an equestrian trail that runs parallel to the Trace for a bit, so you can bring your gentle giant out for some adventure!
No matter how you tackle the Trace, you're in for one beautiful day!
