One of the newest places on this list, there is some truly delicious coffee and snacks to be had here. I also love the huge variety of bottled drinks. And some truly special meals.

If you want a taste of what a market in Mexico might feel like, check out Ideal. This place has a variety of specialty items that you can only get in Mexico or other South American countries. And the hot food line is amazing. Their baked goods are really special.

This tiny spot uptown really packs a punch. They serve awesome over stuffed po-boys and other great hot food items. And they have a perfect selection of cold food as well.

Since the early 20th century, this grocery has been serving its uptown neighborhood. As soon as you walk in here, you can feel the history. My favorite thing to get from here is the crawfish etouffee. It's amazing.

In Mid-city, this is the go-to place for your regular grocery items and hot food. They even have a pretty decent sushi selection. You will love all of the sweet people who work here as well.

Right across the street from Canseco's is this amazing spot. It's got all of the specialty Italian items that you could ever want. The meats are truly spectacular.
