Louisiana is known for a lot of foods, but BBQ isn’t one of them…yet. There’s nothing better than sinking your teeth into some delicious BBQ, and although BBQ tends to be associated with the warmer months, there’s no reason you can’t have incredible BBQ year-round, and that’s where Sticks BBQ comes in. Next time you’ve got a craving for some finger-licking-good BBQ, head across the Causeway to this little hidden gem, where they’re serving up some of the best BBQ near New Orleans.
Many may remember the building on Highway 59 in Mandeville as “Sticks-n-Bones-Bar-B-Que.”
That’s that the restaurant originally was called when it opened its doors in 2016. About a year later, Deanna and Brent Sparkman purchased the restaurant and began to make it their own.
The name may have changed, but you can still count on the same BBQ you’ve grown to love. Over the years they’ve expanded their business, and now you can find Sticks BBQ in two locations on the Northshore, the original on Highway 59 and their newest location off of Highway 22.
