Have you ever seen snowfall in New Orleans? Every now and then, it happens. In 2008, one of the biggest snowfalls happened in the city. You have to see these photos to believe it!

This was just four years after the epic snowfall on Christmas that gave New Orleanians a white Christmas for the first time ever.

But when this snow of 2008 fell, everyone was just charmed, and the hurricane season of 2009 was not terrible. This snow on the lions in City Park's Peristyle is really something special.

Power was out for a lot of folks, and the roads were hard to travel down for quite a while.

Over 1.5 inches of snow was recorded in the area--more than ever before.
