2) Louisiana Renaissance Festival, 46468 River Rd, Hammond, Louisiana
If you’ve never enjoyed this special fall fest that takes place in Hammond each year, mark your calendars. There are always incredible live shows, great interactive booths, and of course, the turkey leg. You’ll love it.
3) Ascension Hot Air Balloon Festival
Each fall you’ll feast your eyes on this gorgeous festival that celebrates the beauty and fun of hot air balloons. Are you ready for your first ride? It’s a truly gorgeous time.
4) Pontchatoula Strawberry Festival, April 7-9
This spring festival brings in visitors from far and wide to enjoy the excellent Louisiana strawberry harvest, as well as ride carnival rides and munch on a lot of other great food. You don’t want to miss a visit to this special festival.
5) West Louisiana Forestry Festival and Fair, October 4th, Leesville
When you want to enjoy down home Louisiana community and celebration, put this festival on your calendar. You’ll be charmed by the numerous vendors and awesome food.
6) St. Tammany Crab Festival, Sept. 9th-10th, Slidell
For a lot of people in St. Tammany, this annual fest is a great meeting place for both young and old. Every year there is an excellent lineup of local Louisiana music, including Amanda Shaw and New Rebel Family this year.
7) Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival
Every fall, visitors gather around Madisonville to showcase some truly gorgeous wooden boats that are lovingly cared for by their owners. It’s always a beautiful time to enjoy music along the bayou.
8) Roberts Cove Germanfest
Head on out near Rayne, LA, to celebrate the German roots of the area. You’ll enjoy the cultural legacy of this area—especially the awesome German beer!
9) Jambalaya Festival, May 26th-28th, Gonzales
This amazing event is perfect for anyone who is a jambalaya fan. There are some delicious options at the cook out and plenty of time to enjoy the spicy dish.
10) Feliciana Hummingbird Celebration
In early fall, St. Francisville is a great place to visit regardless, but the Hummingbird Festival makes it truly special. You’ll get the opportunity to enjoy learning about the beautiful birds as well as doing some epic birdwatching in this area that is known for its great hummingbird habitat.
