While not the largest state park, Cypremort Point State Park clocks in at 185 acres, but is filled with adventure. Since it’s so close to the Gulf of Mexico, fisherman have the opportunity to head out to deeper waters for fishing opportunities. You can also fish from the pier, or sink your toes into the half mile of man-made beach at the park. Stick around for the sunsets, which are simply mesmerizing. What are some of the best parks around New Orleans?  

New Orleans is a stunningly beautiful and totally unique city, and many of its wonderful parks reflect this. For example, there’s City Park, which many people refer to as “the best ever”. It’s the 20th most-visited urban public park in the United States, and for good reason: it’s full of some of the most amazing landscapes and unique beauty you’ll find anywhere. It’s actually 50% larger than Central Park in New York City! Then, there’s Audubon Park, located in Uptown. It’s small, at just 350 acres, but it’s lush, green, and lovely; beloved by locals and visitors alike, it’s a must-do. It’s also known as the Audubon Riverview Park, and it’s situated right alongside the Mississippi River. In the Treme neighborhood, you’ll find Louis Armstrong Park, and at Crescent Park, you’ll find amazing views of downtown. Bring a camera!
